Satisfy a charge
Once a secured loan is repaid, or the property is released, form MR04 tells Companies House the charge is satisfied, in full or in part, so the register stops showing it as outstanding. There is no deadline and no fee. Fileyear lists the company’s outstanding charges from the register and files the MR04.

Questions directors ask
Where do I find the charge code?
Fileyear lists the company’s outstanding charges from the register. The code is the company number followed by four digits. Charges created before 6 April 2013 have none: give the date, description and short particulars instead.
Should the lender confirm first?
Yes. Ask for a letter confirming the loan is repaid or the property released. A false statement to Companies House is an offence.
