Release property from a charge
When the lender releases some or all of the property from a charge, or property stops belonging to the company (it is sold, say), form MR05 tells Companies House, so the register shows it. The loan itself may still be owed: once it is repaid, that is MR04. There is no deadline and no fee. Fileyear lists the company’s outstanding charges from the register and files the MR05.

Questions directors ask
MR04 or MR05?
MR04 says the debt is repaid. MR05 says property has left the charge, by the lender releasing it or the company no longer owning it, whether or not the debt is repaid.
Should the lender confirm first?
Yes, for a release: ask for a letter confirming it. A false statement to Companies House is an offence.
