Why Fileyear exists
Small companies file the same things every year: accounts, a Company Tax Return, a confirmation statement. Most of what goes into them is already written down somewhere, in the company’s bank and in its own record at Companies House. HMRC’s free service for filing a Company Tax Return closed on 31 March 2026, so a director who used to file their own return now needs software or an accountant.
Fileyear reads what is already there, prepares the filing, shows its working, and leaves every decision to the director.
How we work
- Prepared, then checked. Fileyear marks everything it filled in, and nothing is filed until you confirm each part and press submit.
- Your own logins. Filings go to Companies House and HMRC under your company’s authentication code and Government Gateway login, used for that submission only and never stored.
- Prices in full. Each filing has a fixed price, shown before you start, with any government fee shown separately at cost. See Pricing.
- Limited companies only. Fileyear files for UK private limited companies. For a sole trader, a landlord or a charity, it says so and points to the right service.
